Quartz is a hard, crystalline mineral composed of silica (silicon dioxide). Crackled quartz has been intentionally fractured usually by heating rock crystal or slightly translucent quartz to a high temperature, then suddenly quench it in cold water. The shock of sudden cooling causes a network of tiny fractures to propagate through the quartz.
Approximately 80 beads that are between 12x6mm and 16x9mm in size.
